ON CAMPUS PHD SCHOLARSHIPS

DEAKIN UNIVERSITY , AUSTRALIA,

                  Has announced scholarships programmes for indian undergraduate and postgraduate students. The value of scholarships is approximately Rs 97 million (AUD$ 2 MILLION )

               The scholarships are desingned to promote collaboration with industry and research opportunites for meritorious students. Deakin University  is of fering on campus  phd scholarships valued at around Rs. 4.8 million (AUD$ 100,000 ) each.

                 Students who apply for postgraduate scholarships will need to have me minimum requirement in their previous qualification, with research  scholarships  also taking account for references and face- to - face interviews. The course work scholarships are determined entirely on merit and face- to - face interviews, with minimum average marks 60% required at bachelor's level to apply for a Master's programme, and minimum average 70% at secondary school leaving standard to apply for an undergraduate programme. 

                    For students enrolling in research programmes, Deakin is offering five  on -shore phd scholarships valued at  Rs. 6.9 million  ( AUD$ 140,000 ) each , for students to study in australia in 2012 , and 10 Deakin India Research Initiative Scholarships valued at Rs 4.8 million 100,000 ) each , for phd students who study in India under the Deakin India Research Initiative in 2012
